I was raised with loose reigns and craved structure, so I made prisons for myself by chasing gold stars, seeking validation, and creating systems I thought would keep me safe. Straight A’s and an eating disorder became my mechanisms of control. But by 18, I knew I couldn’t keep going like that. I was burning out, and everything I once loved was starting to fade.
That summer, I committed to practicing yoga. And then I met Kat, who’s been my coach ever since. I dove into Eastern philosophy, mindfulness, and meditation, and slowly began to unravel the self-imposed chains of my perfectionism.
It wasn’t one specific thing that changed my life. It was the relationship I built with my own truth that guided me back to a foundation of remembrance. I believe we all know who we are from a young age, and on the road to adulthood, we just forget. My work is about helping you return to that quiet, grounded knowing.
Those tools helped me through college, heartbreak, my parents’ divorce, becoming a yoga teacher, and healing my relationship with food. They supported me as I balanced a full-time job while exploring creative work: writing a newsletter, launching Reading Rhythms and CANDID, and learning how to create without burning out or losing myself in the process.. They grounded me through cross-country moves, starting over after a breakup, finding the love of my life, and building friendships that feel like home. They gave me the courage to start and exit businesses, take risks, and fall in love with coaching.
If you are going through a transition in life, if you want to start a creative project but are afraid to put yourself out there, if you want to make new friends, get into a healthy relationship, move to a new city, quit your job, find a new job, or just get to know a version of you that you truly enjoy, I have been through it all and gained a few tools along the way.
But more than anything, I have remembered and rediscovered the truth of who I am. If you are ready to do the same, book a 30 minute consultation below!
